2,000 pound shark caught in Mexico

Hollywood came to life in Mexico.

Two commercial fishermen got the surprise of a lifetime when they hauled a great white shark measuring nearly 20 feet and weighing about 2,000 pounds.

Fishing in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez near Guaymas, the men thought they merely scored a large haul of much smaller fish.

But as they hoisted up their net, they saw the great white, though it was dead.

The fishermen, whose boat measures 22 feet and is powered only by a 75 horsepower motor, took an hour to tow the shark two miles to the coast.

About 50 people had to help drag the monstrosity onto dry land.

After pictures and weighing it in, it ended up feeding the entire town.

You know one of the first thoughts that went their heads had to have been…

“We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
