U.S. teens more likely to die than in other developed countries

American teens, you’re screwed! The chances you’ll be killed or die before you make it to age 25 are 10 to 20 times higher than in any other developed country, according to a new study from the University of Washington.

Whether it’s gang violence, homicide or the number one killer of adolescents, suicide, the deck is stacked against you.

Medical journal “The Lancet” reports American teens are the biggest pot smokers in the world. They are also among the top countries for binge drinking (having five or more drinks a day). One in five young Americans said they binged once a week.

While we aren’t the worst spot for regular cigarette smoking, we do have a much “bigger” problem — a third of our kids are obese, a situation the report called “epidemic.”

Ironically, the study found U.S. kids age 13 to 15 exercises more than in any other country in the world.

Other teen dangers: unsafe sex and traffic accidents.

It sounds a bit like the “Final Destination” flicks … no matter what you do, Death is coming for you.

How do you hold it off? Stay educated on what’s bad, and try to keep yourself out of dangerous situations.

And remember, if the grim reaper does get you young, at least you’ll leave a good-looking corpse.
