Experience News in a New Way
If little Johnny gets caught pulling Susie’s pigtails, he may get an after school detention. When a teacher pulls a student’s hair, the police get involved.
The cops are all in Patrick Robinson’s business. The 26-year-old is a Physical Education teacher at Hendrick Middle School in Lewisville, TX.
“He was nice to everyone,” said student Elise Leon. “Everyone liked him.”
The once popular coach is now wrapped up in a police investigation after he allegedly picked up three students by their hair and lifted them off the gym floor.
Lewisville Police Captain Kevin Deaver said, “I do know that the students said they felt pain.”
The kids told their parents and one of the parents called police. The teacher hasn’t been arrested but faces three felony charges of injury to a child.”
“We certainly wouldn’t want someone to face charges that didn’t actually commit an offence,” said Deaver, “so we do investigate all of these thoroughly whether there’s one witness or one victim or three victims.”
Robinson, who has worked at the school for two years, was placed on paid leave. He crumbled under the pressure and resigned for the rest of the school year.
He’ll likely be pulling his own hair from the stress of it all.
