Diehard Spurs fan gets suspended from school for haircut

Kids have so many negative influences to distract them. A kid’s love of sports should be a blessing to parents. Like San Antonio middle school student, Patrick Gonzalez.

He’s a diehard Spurs fan. Patrick already shares Spurs player Matt Bonner’s bright red hair color, he decided to get Matt’s face shaved onto the back of his head. Not the most stylish choice, but it’s the ultimate compliment from a middle school kid! His tribute to the Spurs, however, spurred all sorts of trouble for him.

Patrick was kicked out of class for being a distraction! Kind of like back in 2009, when the Rockets made the playoffs and the Mata family, of Houston, went all out including, then 12-year-old, Angel who shaved the Rockets logo on the side of his head, to look just like player Ron Artest. But while Ron reigned in the glory, Angel got suspended for it! Just like Angel had to do, Patrick is going to shave his design off.

We’re all for school rules, but doesn’t this take away from students individuality?

Besides, if these kids can’t keep focused with a cool hair-design next to them, imagine how hard the real world is going to be!
