Experience News in a New Way
In an unexpected twist of events, a major university is being schooled on the importance of spell checking their work.
The Lyndon B. JohnsonSchool of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin, is apologizing over a typo on the cover of their 2012 commencement program. Because of a missed “L”, the word “PUBLIC” was printed as “PUBIC”. The misspelled programs were passed out during the graduation ceremony last weekend, leaving many people in attendance squirming in their pants.
The university is sending those who attended the graduation a reprinted program with the word “public’ spelled correctly.
