Experience News in a New Way
Most of us enjoy the adventure of traveling, but how about the adventure in hotel rooms?
No, no, get your head out of the gutter. We`re talking about the germs you might be hanging out with when you check in for your nightly stay.
U of H presented a study describing the germiest surfaces in hotel rooms. Yuck!
So, what do you think are the spots you should stay away from?
Brian Allen said, “The covers, like the quilts and comforters because they don`t wash those every day.”
“Probably the remote,” says Maria Willis.
And she’s absolutely right.
According to the study, the TV remote and light switches are among the most contaminated objects in the room.
Considering housekeepers spend about 30 minutes cleaning a room, don`t expect it to be spotless, because it isn’t.
But what do you do?
Willis said, “I try to put it out of my mind and hope that people are actually doing their job and cleaning like they’re supposed to be cleaning.”
That might just be a good idea, or bring a lot of sanitizer.
