Vandal defaces a Picasso at Houston’s Menil Collection

A bold act of vandalism at a Houston museum has the art community up-in-arms.

Cell phone video posted on YouTube shows a brazen vandal using a stencil and spray paint to plant a gold bull and the word “conquista” on a Picasso painting at Houston’s Menil Collection.

The famous piece of art is called Woman in a Red Armchair. It dates back to 1929.

After the vandal did the deed, he fled. The painting is now being repaired. Police are looking for the perpetrator.
