Experience News in a New Way
Making the rounds is a 10 minute viral video of an elderly school bus monitor being verbally assaulted by a gang of middle school students.
The target of the bullying attack is 68-year-old, widowed grandma, Karen Klein. A woman that has given 28 years of her life working for the Greece Central School District in upstate New York. A person that should be respected and looked-up too, not treated like the students do on the video. She gets called names, gets mocked for her weight, her low income and at one point gets told by one student that her family should all kill themselves. That comments hitting close to home because one of Karen’s sons committed suicide ten years ago.
Because of the video, a website has been setup to make sure the battered and bullied bus monitor gets what she deserves a vacation of a lifetime. As of Thursday morning, more than $140,000 have been raised to make Karen’s summer vacation a memorable one.
The school district and local police are conducting an investigation on the students.
