Los Angeles may take second place for America’s most congested highways, but we’re awarding them first place in the road rage department.
Video of a knock-down-drag-out fight on a California freeway was recently posted on YouTube and quickly went viral.
It shows three guys ganging up on 50-year-old Jerry Patterson.
Patterson claims it all started when he accidentally cut the other guys off.
“From that point they followed me throwing things from the car, insults out the window, I`m like man, come on, I`m sorry,” said Patterson.
After following him for quite some time, the other car cut him off, stopping him right in the middle of an on-ramp.
“I was trapped. I couldn’t back up, I couldn’t move forward. I started to run them over but then I would get sued for that or arrested for that, so I just decided to fight.”
They fought, but Patterson was outnumbered three to one.
The video shows two of the attackers repeatedly kicking Patterson in the head.
“You kind of get pissed off sometimes at people but there’s a difference between getting mad at someone and kicking them in the head when they’re down,” said Patterson.
Edras Ramirez, 27, and David Mendez, 21, have turned themselves in and were arrested on suspicion of assault.
