Businesses appreciate a good review. After all, it helps bring business in and keep a bad reputation out. And Yelp.com is a great way for consumers to find out how a place measures up.
But would a business pay for a good review? Some say so. But the Red Rabbit Kitchen restaurant in Sacramento, California says it’s the other way around.
Restaurant go-ers say a customer demanded a $100 gift card or else he’d write a bad review. The would-be blogger says the restaurant gave him food poisoning. The restaurant owner didn’t give in. And no word if the review was ever published.
The only thing rotten about this story is the blogger. Experts say this obnoxious behavior is becoming more common. And without all-digital age, we don’t see this kind of problem going away anytime soon.
